My mission is to facilitate healing in my clients and
Motivate them to willfully participate in their Wellbeing.
About Me ...
Originally from Eatonton, Georgia, I am truly native to the South.
I am a 1990 graduate of Mercer University, BA in Biology and a former Food Service Inspector for Bibb County. My first introduction to the benefits of massage happened in 1985 while working in a physical therapy practice. My amateur massages were regularly requested by the patients. It would be some years and other career paths later before I would see the value of choosing Massage Therapy (MT) as a career and business.
My professional massage credentials include attending an accredited Massage Therapy Program at American Professional Institute(2005 honor graduate), Ga State Licensing, and National Certification in Therapeutic Massage. I have continuously expanded my training through NCBTMB approved Distance Learning Programs,& Hands-on educational seminars/workshops taught by prominent leaders in the Massage Therapy profession. My training has consisted of:
- Aveda Body Treatments (ongoing since 2005)
- Orthomassage (2008), Cupping Massage (2008)
- Swe-Thai Massage (2009)
- Advanced Trigger Point Therapy (2010)
- Japanese Zen Face Massage (2011)
- Ethics & Boundaries (2011)
- Trigger Point Upper Extremities (2012)
- KM Stretching Technique (lower extremities) (2014)
- Massage & Fibromyalgia/Chronic Myofascial Pain (2014)
- Advanced Sports Massage (2016)
- Active Isolated Stretching (2018)
The advanced training I pursue compliments the entire professional team at Amanda Jane Salon and SPA, as our goal is to meet our clients needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from satisfied repeat customers and referrals.
I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service possible.
